The N0. 2 ranked Oregon Women's basketball (10-1) will be wearing some serious heat as they take the court on Friday for their Pac-12 season opener. As the Ducks take on the Colorado Buffaloes on Friday night, they'll be wearing brand new Nike throwback uniforms.

The jerseys are modeled after the uniforms worn in the 1999-2000 season, the last season the Ducks had won the conference regular-season title before head coach Kelly Graves led the Ducks to back to back titles in the past two seasons.
Oregon entered the season at the No. 1 team in multiple preseason projections, leading the Ducks to receive the special uniforms from Nike. Oregon returned four starters from their Final Four team in 2018-19 season and added USC graduate transfer, Minyon Moore, to the roster this year to reload for another shot at the Final Four.
Oregon starts Pac-12 play this Friday against Colorado (12-0). The Ducks are led by seniors Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard who have anchored the Ducks for the past three seasons. Hebard is just 15 points away from scoring 2,000 career points. If Hebard can reach the mark, she'd become the only active player in the NCAA with 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. Hebard would be the 12th Pac-12 player to reach the mark as well.
Ionescu has a few milestones of her own to look for as the Ducks enter Pac-12 play. The senior dubbed as the "Triple-Double Queen" has notched the feat inthe last two games for the Ducks bringing her career total of triple-doubles to 21, shattering the previous NCAA record of 12. Ionescu is nearly averaging a triple-double this season with 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and an NCAA-leading 9.2 assists per game. Ionescu needs just 7 assists to pass the mark of 900 in her career. Ionescu would be the first Pac-12 player to ever reach that number
Oregon and Nike have long been tied together with the companies founding at the University when track coach Bill Bowerman and athlete Phil Knight developed their first running shoe. After the 1995 season, Nike began a campaign that launched for the 1999 season that gave the Ducks a rebrand and introduced the Oregon "O", which has become the symbol for Oregon athletics over the past 20 years.
In November of 2017, the university and Nike reached a new contract worth $88 million over 11 years. Under the terms of the new deal, the university receives between $2 million and $2.5 million in cash per year and up to $6 million worth of apparel. That is up from the current deal which is worth $750,000 in cash and $2.5 million in apparel. Nike's contract with Oregon also secures additional royalties for the university and an additional internship for a University of Oregon student.
