There will be a sea of red in the stands of Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night for Super Bowl 54, as the Chiefs and 49ers meet in the biggest game of the year. The Chiefs’ and 49ers’ primary colors are just one shade apart (Pantone 186C for Kansas City vs. Pantone 187C for San Francisco), and the Chiefs will be the predominantly red team on the field in Miami.

As the designated home team for Super Bowl 54, the Chiefs had the choice of primary color, and opted to wear their home red jerseys.

Richard Sherman reportedly wanted the team to wear the all-white look, which the 49ers used in the 1994 Super Bowl. San Francisco is undefeated in the Super Bowl wearing white and gold, though,
